NCSI bags Salem Al Ali Al Sabah Informatics Award

Kuwait: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) won the award of HH Salem Al Ali Al Sabah Informatics Award in its 23rd edition dedicated to Sustainable Development.


The award was won through the 2020 Electronic Census project, covering the enumeration of population, residences and establishments. The project was implemented by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.


The award shows appreciation for NCSI efforts in the field of digital transition in statistical tasks. Besides digitizing data, the project boosts knowledge and supports decision-making in line with Oman Vision 2040.


Dr Khalifa Abdullah al Barwani, CEO of the NCSI said in a statement that the accomplishment was the outcome of efforts made in the field of digital transition and sustainable development. The award winning is credited to the overall process of digital development in the Sultanate of Oman, he affirmed.
