MUSCAT: To bolster the domestic products market, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has launched the "Made in Oman" campaign.

The campaign, held in collaboration with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and the Joint Committee for External Exhibitions of Omani Products (OPEX), is set to run until December 31, 2023, spanning various governorates. The initiative seeks to elevate and empower national industries by heightening local consumer awareness of Omani products through a series of curated events and programs.

At its core, the campaign aims to unveil the new identity of the national product logo, spotlighting Omani products and their inherent quality. The goal is to instill consumer confidence and cultivate a preference for local products as the primary choice amidst a myriad of options. This strategic approach is anticipated to fortify national industries and amplify their contribution to economic development.

Mazen bin Hameed al Siyabi, Assistant Director General of Industry at the MoCIIP, highlighted the campaign's alignment with the ministry's drive to promote the new identity of the Omani national product. It endeavors to attract a greater number of industrial institutions to adopt the new national product identity logo, fostering collaboration by delving into their raw materials and Omani industrial products, thereby strengthening partnerships.

The campaign's ambit extends to diverse societal groups and industrial entities, fostering an interactive exchange between these entities and entrepreneurs. This dynamic interaction is designed to galvanize support for local products and raise awareness about the superior quality of the national product.

The campaign's launch includes the inauguration of corners dedicated to showcasing Omani products in commercial centers across various provinces. The extensive program features an accompanying exhibition in Muscat, incorporating an informative corner tailored to simplify the campaign for all segments of society. A diverse array of Omani products, categorized into four groups, will be on display. The exhibition further encompasses dialogue corners, focusing on industry-related topics, the national product, and success stories from Omani factories. An interactive section aims to deepen public understanding through engaging questions and games.

The "Made in Oman" campaign extends its reach by organizing educational visits for students to Omani factories, offering insights into the fundamentals and components of the manufacturing process. The campaign's multifaceted approach includes a range of events and activities, catering to all segments of society.
