Muscat: Low clouds intensified on parts of the coasts of the Sea of ​​Oman and the coasts of the Arabian Sea on Tuesday with chances of scattered rain falling on the coastal areas of the Musandam and Dhofar governorates.


According to Oman Met Office the National day holidays the weather in Oman is considered to be fair to partly cloudy, with chances of scattered light rain falling on parts of the coastal areas of Musandam and Dhofar Governorates on Wednesday, with high and medium clouds flowing in.


There are also chances of low clouds or fog forming late at night and early morning over parts of the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, Dhofar, Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, and parts of the coast of the Sea of Oman.


There are also chances of cumulus clouds forming over the Hajar Mountains during the afternoon as well as the possibility of dust rising over desert areas. Most governorates are experiencing light to moderate northerly to northeasterly winds that are sometimes active on the coasts of the Sea of Oman, the coasts of the Arabian Sea, and the desert areas of the Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates, and moderate to active southwesterly winds on the western coasts of Musandam Governorate.


Low level of horizontal visibility in areas where fog forms when dust rises.


Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected over most of the governorates with chance of isolated rain along the coastal areas of Dhofar and Musandam governorates. Chance of low clouds or fog patches at late night to early morning over parts of Arabian Sea coasts. Chances of convective clouds and isolated rain over Al Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas may extend to Oman Sea coasts.


On Thursday clear skies over most of governorates with chances of isolated rain over Dhofar governorate. There is also a chance of low clouds or fog patches at late night to early morning over parts of Arabian Sea coasts.
