Japan’s economic concerns over Gaza War

There are several countries that are still monitoring the tragic situation in resolute Gaza, despite the successive barbaric attacks carried out by Israel against Palestinian civilians.

The genocide of the people of Palestine continues despite the mounting death toll.

Among those countries that are monitoring the unfolding tragedy with great concern is Japan.

Although part of the Western bloc, it is seeking to bring about a halt to the hostilities. It has demanded compliance with international law and legitimacy.

In the midst of this crisis, Foreign Minister of Japan, Yoko Kamikawa, had a call with Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, a few days ago where they urged an immediate end to the attacks on innocent people, a cessation of the bombing of civilian infrastructure, and for immediate efforts to bring about an urgent truce to enable the people to access humanitarian relief.

Japan is keen to give priority to the language of dialogue in finding a final and permanent solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of a two-state solution.

Japan was among four countries that voted against a draft resolution submitted by Russia to the UN Security Council at the beginning of the war alongside the United States, Britain and France in rejecting the draft.

Japanese officials

also rushed to Israel and the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah, similar to what was done by the heads of the United States and some European countries.

Japan’s foreign minister has asked Israel to stop its attacks against the Palestinians, according to what the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

At the same time, she stressed the necessity of starting a humanitarian truce in this bloody conflict.

In the recent meetings of the seven countries hosted by Japan, the Japanese minister announced that she is monitoring the situation with great concern regarding the violations taking place in Gaza, and intends to provide aid worth $10 million to civilians in Gaza.

Japan, on its part, is concerned about this conflict in the Arab region, and warns of its possible effects on its country’s economy, especially with regard to the energy sector, as it is the third largest economy in the world that depends on most of the oil imports coming from the Gulf region.

There are many negative impacts on other peoples and institutions in the world, including the Japanese individuals, families, and institutions with

regard to their consumption and the status of their companies.

In general, the ongoing war on Gaza will have negative effects on some foreign economies, but it will leave major adverse impacts on the Israeli economy, which is collapsing daily as a result of its war machine continuing to kill innocent people of Gaza.
