Over 1.6 million vehicles registered in Oman

Muscat - The number of registered vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of September 2023 was 1,645,190 vehicles, of which private licensing accounted for 79.6 percent or 1,310,310 vehicles.

Statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicated that vehicles with a commercial license constituted 14.7 percent (241,613 vehicles), rental vehicles (two percent), and taxis 1.7 percent.

The number of vehicles weighing less than 3 tonnes reached 1,485,415 vehicles, representing 90.29 percent of the total vehicles registered in the Sultanate of Oman.
