Muscat: Sayyid Badr al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Antony Blinken, Secretary of State of the United States of America, in a phone call, discussed the current dangerous situation in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Both sides expressed their concern about the ongoing escalation that is depleting the civilian population in Gaza and the urgent need to achieve the required truce, open passages and airspace for urgent humanitarian needs, and restart electricity and water stations.

In light of the international condemnation of what happened and is taking place in terms of attacks and killings against children and defenseless civilians, Sayyid Badr explained during the conversation that extremism generates violence and that violence only leads to extremism, and therefore the international community has a moral and legal responsibility to break this cycle and move towards achieving peace and the restoration of the legitimate Palestinian right to end the illegal Israeli occupation.
