Sayyid Badr discusses Gaza crisis with GCC counterparts

Muscat - Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with his counterparts of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and stressed that the international community and international parties supporting efforts to resume the peace process with a fundamental responsibility to intervene immediately to stop the ongoing escalation in Palestine. He also called for the opening of humanitarian corridors for the population in Gaza, and following the rules of international and humanitarian laws.


Sayyid Badr on Friday received a phone call from Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan on Friday.


They discussed regional and international efforts made to stop the escalation of violence and the importance of protecting civilians from the repercussions of the current crisis between Israel and the Palestinians in Gaza.


The two ministers stressed the importance of resorting to political solutions based on the rules of international law and the right to self-determination.
