Muscat: His Majesty affirmed the Sultanate of Oman’s solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people and its support to all efforts aimed at ending escalation and attacks on children and innocent civilians as well as the release of prisoners in accordance with the principles of international law, calling for the importance that the international community assumes its responsibilities to protect civilians, ensure their humanitarian needs, and lift the illegal siege on Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian territories.
His Majesty called for the resumption of the peace process to enable the Palestinian people to regain all their legitimate rights by establishing their independent state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with the principle of the two-state solution, the Arab Peace Initiative and the UN resolutions.
