Muscat: An MoU was signed between Khazaen Economic City and the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology to establish the Logistics Center.

Khazaen Logistics Center will provide integrated logistical services to investors at Khazaen Dry Port, cold & dry storage warehousing, retail warehousing, distribution, customs clearance, shipping, and redistribution, in addition to the one-stop shop.

Khazaen Logistics Center is considered a promising opportunity for investors due to its strategic location within Greater Muscat and its ideal infrastructure for the transportation sector, in addition to its proximity to most international markets and land ports with neighboring countries.

In the last 30 months, Khazaen Economic City attracted 22 logistics investments with a total value of RO65 million, most notably from Khazaen Dry Port, the first inland port in the Sultanate, and Saudi Naqel Express Company, the Qatari Gulf Warehousing Company, the logistical partner of the 2022 World Cup, and SARCO Technical, in addition to Omani companies such as Nool Delivery Company and Al Narjis International Company.

Khazaen is considered an integrated economic city being developed in the Barka, South Al Batinah Governorate, Sultanate of Oman. As the first project of its kind, an integrated economic zone and two free zones are being developed in partnership between the public and private sectors.
