MUSCAT: The Department of Non-Communicable Diseases at the Ministry of Health on Thursday organised the National Ophthalmology Conference in cooperation with Al Nahdha Hospital and Oman Ophthalmology Society.

The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Said bin Harib al Lamki, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs.

The Ministry of Health is represented at the conference by the Department of Programmes for People with Disabilities.

The conference offers an opportunity to exchange knowledge and explore the latest developments, research results and advanced practices in the field of ophthalmology and related technologies. It also seeks to activate communication between the ministry’s ophthalmology specialists and their counterparts in different governorates. This will help forge new research partnerships and achieve better progress in serving patients who suffer eye disorders. - ONA
