Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in Expo 2023 Doha, which is taking place this year under the theme 'Green Desert, Better Environment.' This horticultural exhibition is the first of its kind in a desert climate in the Middle East and North Africa. The focus is on sustainability, environmental awareness, technology, innovation, and modern agriculture. Its goal is to promote sustainable innovations and combat desertification.

Oman's pavilion showcases 1,600 authentic Omani trees and plants, carefully selected from Oman's botanical garden and planted in the designated area of the pavilion. Additionally, the pavilion features some of Oman's ancient trees, such as the iconic Frankincense tree. It serves as an educational platform for visitors to learn about Omani oases' cultural and architectural heritage, symbolising values of cooperation, tolerance, and dialogue. Interactive displays also provide insights into the world of plants.

Furthermore, the pavilion hosts a botanic garden, a significant project on Oman's tourism map.
