Each student in the school is special and has hidden talents. What’s more, the way students find joy in the classroom portrays their passion for life and creativity. Passion serves as the driving force behind groundbreaking innovations, and the unearthing of hidden talents is indispensable for the creation of new inventions. In other words, the key is to create an environment where students feel comfortable exploring their interests and abilities. To this end, it is necessary to develop non-academic skills. It is essential for children's growth and development to be aware of what they like to do and how they spend their time. Mindful activities like reading, singing, and writing, will provide them with both entertainment and engagement in their non-academic learning, allowing them to utilize their talents (Ahuja, 2022, Tutoring Platform).


Put simply, talents refer to the skills and abilities that a person has a natural affinity for. Referring to the views of (Luke, 2022) when people think of talents, they often only focus on drawing, acting, singing, playing instruments, learning languages quickly, and so forth. In fact, there are a collection of talents that people have, such as magic tricks, endurance, cooking, flexibility, singing, multilingualism, athletic ability, innovation, leadership, perfect pitch, puzzle-solving, creativity, public speaking, out-of-the-box thinking, acting, fashion sense, a great memory, and video game skills (arrestyourdebt.com). Teachers can encourage their students to develop their gifted skills by providing them with opportunities to learn and practice. Here are some specific things that teachers can do: 1. Observing the hobby of a student: Teachers can identify the talents of a student from their hobbies and can counsel them to pursue their hobbies in a serious manner. People usually tend to pick up those hobbies in which they are talented. Furthermore, people having natural talents in a skill tend to be drawn towards similar hobbies and find their calling in that.


2. Asking them about their passions and interests: Teachers can gain insights into their students' talents when they observe them passionately pursuing their interests. They can get honest replies from younger students and can observe them while the students are immersed in the activities that they truly love. 3. Organizing various competitions and shows: The objective of these contests should not be to intensify a feeling of competition or rivalry among the students but to help them discover their hidden talents and gifts lying within them. Similarly, teachers can also organize some shows and exhibitions, such as science exhibitions, arts, and crafts exhibitions, that will encourage students to participate in them and showcase their talents. 4. Arranging a group outing and encouraging them to express themselves freely: Students are usually spontaneous when they are outdoors and are provided with some downtime and thus feel free to express themselves. It is not surprising to see a reticent and shy student, voicing some melodious songs without feeling any inhibitions. 5. Organizing extracurricular Olympiads: Teachers can also spot the latent talents of students by organizing extracurricular Olympiads such as Math Olympiad, Science Olympiad, etc. Students tend to prepare themselves best and give their best performance for these Olympiads.


To conclude, distinguishing hidden talents in the classroom can be a gratifying experience for both the teacher and the student. It assists students in discovering their strengths and abilities as well as gives them the confidence to pursue their aspirations.
