Al Seeb dominate Oman Club, Al Bashayer win

In a thrilling match of the Credit Oman Basketball Cup, Al Seeb once again asserted their dominance by clinching a victory over Oman Club, with a commanding scoreline of 109-38. The match was held at the sub-hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher on Sunday.


From the very outset, Al Seeb Club showcased their superior prowess, dictating the tempo of the game and securing victory decisively in all four quarters. The first quarter saw Al Seeb employing organised attacks, enabling them to secure a 4-point lead. Al Waqqas al Hinai and


Abdul Rahman al Shabibi contributed crucial points for Al Seeb, while Hussein al Kindi made a valiant effort to respond for Oman Club. However, Al Seeb's relentless offensive drive, including three-pointers from Ahmed al Maamari and Al Waqqas al Hinai, further extended their lead to 28-11 in the first quarter.


The second quarter continued to see both teams striving to breach each other's defences, with Al Seeb adding 19 points and Oman Club tallying 12 points. The first half concluded with Al Seeb firmly in control, leading Oman Club 47-23.


In the third quarter, Al Seeb continued their offensive advantage, exploiting every opportunity to score more points that widened the gap, when they netted 27 points, while the Oman Club scored only 13 points. The third quarter ended with Al Seeb leading Oman Club 74-36.


The final quarter witnessed Al Seeb's continued dominance, both offensively and defensively. Al Seeb scored an impressive 35 points, while Oman Club could only muster 2 points. The match concluded with Al Seeb securing a resounding victory over Oman Club with a final score of 109-38.


Al BASHAYER BEAT NIZWA


In another clash, Al Bashayer Club got the better of their neighbours Nizwa Club 88-47.


Al Bashayer took control of the match, showcasing excellence in both defensive and offensive maneuvers. They initiated scoring with a mistake by Bassam al Busaidi, followed by an impressive 8 points from Saeed al Saadi. Nizwa opened their scoring with a three-pointer by Mohammed al Anqoudi and added a point from a mistake by Ahmed al Afifi. The first quarter concluded with Al Bashayer leading Nizwa 22-9.


The second quarter commenced with a flourish for Al Bashayer, as Ahmed al Halali and Ahmed al Jahwari both netted impressive three-pointers. Nizwa responded with a point from a foul by Mohammed al Ankoudi. Both teams continued to exchange blows, with Al Bashayer accumulating 11 points and Nizwa adding 13 points. The first half ended with Al Bashayer leading Nizwa 39-23.


The third quarter mirrored the previous ones, with Al Bashayer extending their lead significantly, capitalising on Nizwa's errors. Al Bashayer managed to amass 25 points, while Nizwa Club only contributed 8 points, resulting in a scoreline of 64-31 in favour of Al Bashayer as


the third quarter concluded.


In the fourth quarter, both teams were more active, with the scoring advantage going to Al Bashayer. The excitement continued with mutual attacks until the match ended with Al Bashayer defeating Nizwa 88-47.
