Muscat: Muscat Municipality has completed the dualisation of the Sultan Qaboos Road in the Wilayat of Seeb and opened it for traffic on Thursday.
The project included the construction of a dual carriageway - two lanes in each direction with a length of 3.5 km - a four-way intersection with traffic lights replacing the roundabout and a new intersection, among others.
The project includes sidewalks for pedestrians (seven kilometers in both directions), a rainwater drainage system, and side barriers.
The four-way intersection will be built to lead to the front entrance that leads up to the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH), which will be gate number 2 of the Sultan Qaboos University.
