Bosher Club squad completes successfull US tour

MUSCAT: Bosher Sports Centre (BSC), a part of Bosher Club has successfully returned back to Oman with achievements of 6 cricket matches played in Houston (2 matches) and Dallas (4 matches) against the North Texas Cricket Association (NTCA) in the United States.


Fourteen members of the Under-17 team formed by BSC has marked a milestone of being the first cricket academy from the Gulf region to visit the USA. The NTCA and BSC are in long-term cricketing tie-ups and will look forward to host in future all around Texas and adjacent States of USA.


BSC is also looking to host NTCA to visit Oman for similar cricketing tours to play matches. The tour which started from July 27 to August 7, 2023 has given good international exposure for good young talented cricketers of Oman which will boost their domestic season which is going to start soon.


Head coach of BSC, Sandesh Dhuri, who has conducted similar cricketing tours for young cricketers in countries of Australia, United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, India, UAE and Qatar, added USA as another feather in the cap of overseas tours by BSC with 16th international tour since its inception from 2013 onwards.


Cricketers like Anas, Maaz, Vihaan Apte, Dev Rana has shown great talent in their skills and performances on the USA tour and has come up with great achievements in the six matches played. The captain on the tour, Master Nimish Sandesh Dhuri before the travel has mentioned that such tours gives lots of international team building concepts and learnings to make them understand the game better in different conditions.


With an average of 35 runs in 6 matches and taking 12 wickets on the tour, Nimish Dhuri has been judged as the Player of the Tournament in USA. The NTCA has been very impressed on the overall structure of tour management and the cricket played. The NTCA is keen to bring in BSC on large numbers to form the senior team to participate in USA in the future.
