3-day seminar to focus on security of vital installations

The Institution for Security and Safety Services is hosting a three-day seminar on the security of vital facilities from September 4 to 6, 2023, at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Dhofar Governorate.


The seminar is organized under the auspices of Shaikh Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It will bring together experts and stakeholders from the security and safety sector, along with project managers from the government and private sectors.


The seminar will feature 17 speakers and is expected to attract 250 participants. It will provide a forum for discussing critical security and safety issues, with a focus on global perspectives and insights.


In his opening remarks, Brigadier General (Eng) Said bin Sulaiman al Asimi, CEO of the Institution for Security and Safety Services, said that he is confident that the seminar will be a valuable learning experience for all attendees. He noted that the event has drawn a significant crowd, with participants from a variety of public and private sector facilities.


Brigadier General Al-Asimi emphasized the importance of prioritizing the safety and security of both workers and facilities. He said that these measures are essential to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, which in turn enhances productivity and the overall well-being of society.


During the seminar, participants will explore a wide range of topics related to occupational security and safety. This will include the introduction of cutting-edge technological innovations and novel practices in the field, as well as the sharing of valuable insights and lessons learned from both local and global experiences.


The forum will also feature a number of interactive sessions, providing attendees with opportunities to actively participate, ask questions, and exchange experiences. This dynamic engagement is expected to enrich the symposium and foster collaborative learning and growth among all participants.
