

Muscat: The national budget airline, SalamAir, will operate direct flights between Muscat and Kozhikode from October 1, sources confirmed.
Currently, the airline operates a direct service to this South Indian city from Salalah.
As per the details available, flight OV741 will depart Muscat at 10.30 pm to arrive in Kozhikode at 3.20 am, while the return flight OV742 will depart Kozhikode at 4.20 am local time to arrive in Muscat at 6.15 am.
The company website shows that prices start from RO65 in the Muscat-Kozhikode sector and around RO52 in the Kozhikode-Muscat sector.
Currently, the route is served by Oman Air (two daily flights) and Air India Express.
Kozhikode, also known as Calicut is a coastal city in the south Indian state of Kerala and is home to a large number of Indian expatriates residing in the Sultanate of Oman and the rest of the GCC.
