Restoration work of Harat Al Shurafa in full swing

Muscat: In an attempt to keep craftsmanship alive and develop it into a tourist landmark, locals and community organistaions exert tireless efforts to preserve historic buildings and neighbourhoods in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi.

Harat Al Shurafa, one of the accessible historic neighbourhoods in the wilayat, has triggered locals to revive the place and turn it into a tourist attraction that would contribute to boost tourism.

The Harat, which comprises a number of old houses and a masjid, is undergoing restoration works aimed at breathing life back into it.
