MUSCAT: Dr Saud bin Hamoud al Habsi, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources received at his office yesterday, Han Hwa-Jin, Minister of Environment of the Republic of Korea and her accompanying delegation who are currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed and directions for cooperation between the two countries in the areas of sustainable development and innovative solutions for the implementation of environmentally friendly agricultural practices and renewable energy. A work programme was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and the Korean Institute for Environmental Industries and Technology, and the Korean agency to promote commercial investment in Muscat. The programme primarily aims to implement research activities and capacity building activities by the parties to achieve environmental sustainable development goals in the fields of agriculture, fisheries and water resources in the Sultanate of Oman.
