

Muscat: The Oman Taekwondo Team will participate in the World Taekwondo Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina from August 27 to September 3.
The Oman team includes seven Omani players and coaches. Dr Talal bin Mohammed al Balushi, head of the delegation, explained that "The World Taekwondo Championship is one of the most important international competitions that work to refine the players' skills and provide them with the necessary expertise and capabilities to be among the world's players."
The national team coach, Waleed bin Yousef al Balushi, said, "The Omani players need to come into contact with international expertise and get used to the atmosphere of international tournaments."
While the coach Mohammed bin Sultan al Mahrouqi indicated that "The Oman Taekwondo Committee contributes effectively to creating a promising generation of players who will undoubtedly contribute to spreading the sport of Taekwondo in the Sultanate."
The World Taekwondo Championship is held every two years. It should be noted that this championship is one of the tournaments included in the international calendar of the Omani Taekwondo Committee for the year 2023, which includes a number of participations at various local, regional and international levels.
