MUSCAT: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) announced the launch of the mentoring programme in its seventh edition, 'Inspiration and Success', with the participation of 50 owners of small and medium enterprises and startups.
The authority stated that the mentoring programme is a fundamental pillar of the mentoring programs provided by the authority to entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises and startups to enable them and develop their managerial, strategic and leadership skills through seven training seminars, in addition to spreading the culture of entrepreneurship in the Sultanate of Oman.
The authority indicated that each business owner will be allocated a mentor from business management experts for a full year according to a clear map based on the business model of the enterprise and the project, and graduates will be awarded a certificate in managing small and medium enterprises from the Royal Society of Management accredited in the United Kingdom.
The mentoring programme targets two categories of entrepreneurs: small and medium enterprises and startups, and it also targets the mentors category in which the program is looking for experienced businessmen to support small and medium enterprises. — ONA
