

MUSCAT: The number of passengers through the airports of the Sultanate of Oman increased by 71.5 per cent by the end of May 2023, recording 5,223,992 passengers, compared to 3,045,519 passengers by the end of May 2022, according to preliminary statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and information (NCSI).
Statistics indicated that the number of passengers through Muscat International Airport reached about 4,718,497 passengers at the end of last May, an increase of 79.5 per cent. They traveled on 36,315 flights, with an increase in the number of flights by 65.6 per cent.
The number of passengers through Salalah Airport reached 470,950, an increase of 32.7 per cent. They traveled on 3,468 flights, with an increase in the number of flights by 26.4 per cent. Meanwhile, the number of passengers through Sohar Airport reached 6,999 passengers on 110 flights, while the number of passengers reached 27,546 passengers passed through Duqm Airport on 258 flights. — ONA
