Real estate trading worth RO1.4 billion in Oman

Muscat - The total value of real estate trading in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 18.9 percent at the end of June 2023 to 1,402,500,000 compared to 1,179,300,000 during the same period in 2022.


According to the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the fees collected for all legal actions amounted to RO33.4 million, an increase of 10.3 percent from the end of June 2022, while the traded value of sales contracts amounted to RO545.7 million for 32, 907 contracts, with a decrease in value.


The traded value of mortgage contracts increased by 52.6 percent to RO852.1 million for 12,062 contracts, while the number of exchanged contracts was 732, with a value of RO4.8 million.


The number of properties issued by the end of June 2023 was 117,870, an increase of 1.3 percent, while the number of properties issued to citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries was 633, an increase of 79.3 percent.
