SALALAH: The Fourth Salalah International Islamic Finance Conference will be held next Sunday, August 13, in a strategic partnership with the Muscat Stock Exchange. The conference, entitled "Governance in the Islamic Finance Sector for Sustainable Development and Global Economic Prosperity," will focus on the importance of applying governance principles in addressing contemporary and emerging issues faced by Islamic financial services institutions.
The two-day conference will host four sessions:
The role of Shariah supervisory bodies and boards of directors of Islamic financial institutions in applying the principles of governance.
Governance and achieving sustainability in endowment institutions and non-profit institutions.
Applying governance in Islamic financial institutions and its impact on achieving sustainable development.
The governance of the Takaful insurance sector: challenges and solutions.
Iman bint Yahya Al-Busaidiya, Director of the Corporate Communication and Marketing Department at the Muscat Stock Exchange, said, "The presence of the stock exchange as a strategic partner in the Salalah International Islamic Finance Conference comes within the framework of supporting the stock exchange to establish these conferences, which is an opportunity to meet experiences and knowledge through the exchange of ideas, research, and best practices."

The conference is organized by Tawkam Consulting (Malaysia) in cooperation with the Integrity Centre for Governance and Compliance Consulting (Oman).
