Muscat: Oman Air's flight WY824 on August 5 traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Muscat experienced a technical issue while on the ground and the passengers had to disembark after boarding.
"A number of passengers have been connected to alternative flights and we are working on arranging flights for the remaining passengers as soon as possible," the airline said.
At the airport, all passengers were provided with refreshments, based on the available resources. After 5 hours, as per protocol, the passengers were provided with accommodation.
"There was a several-hour delay at immigration, however, all passengers have been safely accommodated in nearby hotels."
Hammoud al Touqi, a journalist who was onboard the same flight shared a tweet about the situation at Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
