Weather update: Met predicts more rains

Muscat: Oman's Weather Office on Thursday said moderate to heavy rains are expected over some parts of the Sultanate.


"Beginning of the activity of local formations on the Eastern and Middle Hajar Mountains (Al Dakhiliyah and North Sharqiyah) with chances for its expansion and extension later and chances for thunderstorms accompanied by active downward winds," Met Office said in a statement.


Met warned about chances of wadis overflowing and urged everyone to keep away from wadis and low-lying areas during thundershowers.
