JAALAN BANI BU ALI: The Al Hamidi Heritage Museum, which is considered one of the Omani traditional museums and one of the tourist attractions in the wilayat, was inaugurated on Thursday in the Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah, under the patronage of Mohammed bin Humaid Al Ghabshi, Wali of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali.
Humaid bin Saleh Al Hamidi, owner of the museum, explained that the opening of the museum coincides with the summer tourism season and the activities of the Al Ashkhara atmosphere forum, in order to highlight the traditional culture which will largely benefit the visitors.
The museum consists of several corners, including a corner specialised in traditional weapons such as old swords and daggers, a corner for books and newspapers, and a corner for traditional Omani clothing, in addition to displaying a collection of pottery, and old coins. - ONA
