The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) held a key workshop on the Unified National Strategy for Investment Promotion on July 9, 2023. The workshop, which was attended by government officials and representatives from various ministries and governorates, was aimed at charting a definitive course for the nation's investment landscape.

The workshop was opened by Ibtisam bint Ahmed al Faroujiah, Under-Secretary for Investment Promotion. In her opening remarks, Al Faroujiah stressed the importance of the workshop in shaping the future of investment in Oman. She said that the workshop would provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss the latest trends in foreign direct investment (FDI) and to develop a unified strategy for attracting and retaining investment in the country.

The workshop featured a number of presentations from experts on FDI and investment promotion. It also included a number of panel discussions focusing on topics such as the role of the government in attracting investment, the challenges facing investment promotion in Oman, and the opportunities for investment in the country.

The workshop concluded with a call to action for all stakeholders to work together to implement the unified national strategy for investment promotion. The strategy, which is still in its early stages of development, is expected to be finalized in the coming months.

The unified national strategy for investment promotion is a harbinger of progress and prosperity for the nation. By attracting FDI and fostering economic diversification, the strategy seeks to transform Oman's landscape, cultivating growth across various sub-sectors.
