Muscat: The National Museum, represented by the Learning Centre, in cooperation with Innotech, hosts the “FabTech” mobile laboratory camp, which targets school students from 10-16 years during the period July 9-27, 2023.

This move reflects the museum’s efforts to encourage students to innovate, spread the culture of manufacturing, and introduce them to the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution.

The laboratory aims to provide students with various skills through a series of workshops in the fields of manufacturing and the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution of programming, electronics and 3D printing. It also aims at developing problem-solving skills and creative thinking within the work team and enriching their scientific output and preparing them for the requirements of the modern era.

It is worth noting that the "FabTech” Mobile Laboratory" is the first mobile manufacturing laboratory of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman. It is an educational initiative that aims to spread the culture of manufacturing and the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution in programming, electronics, design and 3D printing among academics, students and engineers. It is offered by Innotech under the umbrella of the Social Investment Programme of BP Oman.
