Muscat: A high-level Omani delegation, led by His Excellency Mohsen bin Hamad Al Hadhrami, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, recently embarked on a diplomatic mission to Italy and Switzerland. The objective of the visit was to explore investment opportunities and cultivate collaboration in the realms of renewable energy and green hydrogen.

In Italy, the delegation engaged in productive discussions with prominent corporations, esteemed institutions, and cutting-edge research centers. The primary focus was to identify potential areas of synergy and establish joint ventures across various sectors of the energy industry. Additionally, they attended the unveiling of Oman's second round of public bids for green hydrogen territories, slated to be awarded by the end of Q1 2024.

Continuing their diplomatic endeavors, the Omani delegation proceeded to Switzerland, where they participated in the esteemed Business Forum hosted by the Omani-Swiss Friendship Association. His Excellency Al Hadhrami, in his address to the forum, passionately emphasized the Sultanate of Oman's unwavering commitment to transitioning into a sustainable economy and creating an environment conducive to green investments. Dr. Firas Al Abdwani, the Director General of the Directorate General of Renewable Energy and Hydrogen at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, further elucidated Oman's strategic approach to green hydrogen in an insightful presentation.
