The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry's North Al Batinah branch conducted and organised the seminar.

Bader bin Saif al Amri, CEO of Oman Numbering Centre, gave a presentation about introducing Oman Numbering Centre GS 1, which is a non-profit organisation that develops and maintains global standards for commercial communications, the most important of which is the bar code, as 6 billion bar codes are scanned daily.

Oman Numbering Centre was established in 2016, and in 2021 the centre became an official member of the global organisation GS 1 with coding (607). It was officially inaugurated on February 9, 2023, which coincided with Omani Industry Day.
