Ubhar Capital (U Capital) has been granted the licence by the Capital Market Authority to be the first company to provide Market Making and Liquidity Providing services (MM & LP) on the Muscat Stock Exchange.

The Market Making and Liquidity Providing licence is in line with MSX plan to expand market depth, promote its role in raising capital and create a benign investing environment that will promote public offerings and induce domestic as well as foreign investment flows. MSX strategy to encourage investment through multiple means will prompt the return of capital markets to the center stage of economic development supporting Oman Vision 2040.

Shaikh Abdulaziz Khalifa al Saadi, CEO, U Capital commented: “Ubhar would like to express its sincere thanks to the Capital Market Authority for the continuous support and guidance of companies operating in the capital market. The impact of this license will be reflected in the work environment of the Stock Exchange and enhance our ability to serve the national economy in the expected manner during the coming period.”

It is worth noting that U Capital has qualified and trained an integrated work team in partnership with Al Ramz Corporation PJSC in the United Arab Emirates. Ubhar also possesses all the basic requirements to start working in the aforementioned activity in terms of the practical and technical staff and technology for the implementation of this activity. The work team has experience in the field of securities for more than 25 years.
