Muscat International Airport receives first flight of Pakistan’s AirSial

Muscat: Muscat International Airport on Thursday received the first flight of the Pakistani airline "AirSial", which operates 8 scheduled flights per week via Muscat.


Three of the flights link Muscat to Islamabad Airport, three other flights link Muscat to Lahore Airport and two flights to Sialkot Airport.


The inaugural flight was the outcome of efforts made by Oman Airports company to enhance economic and tourism activities between Oman and other countries of the world. In addition, AirSial flights will help diversify travel options for residents and citizens.

Thanks to its integrated services, Muscat International Airport is attracting more regional and international flights, which reflects the terminal’s significance to meet the growing demand of airlines and passengers.


Over one year (January 2022 to January 2023), the number of international and domestic flights via Muscat International Airport, both inbound and outbound, surged by 143 per cent to stand at 7,687 flights. The flights carried more than one million passengers (1,051,390).
