The General Secretariat of the Tender Board urged private sector in the Sultanate of Oman to register in the electronic platform Esnad for managing government tenders and procurement of the state's administrative apparatus units.

This platform enhances the competitiveness and transparency in the awarding process by issuing government tenders and procurement and monitoring the competing of the registered bidders in the platform in accordance with a systematic basis and a transparent process to ensure the right to compete for these tenders.

As a support for the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which obtained entrepreneurship card from the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, these enterprises were exempted from registration fees through the Esnad website for electronic tenders till 22/08/2023.

The registration in Esnad enables the private sector companies to increase their chances of obtaining tenders and procurement in the government and private sectors, as well as to acquiring technical and administrative experiences in submitting bids for tenders and procurement through working with government entities and the private sector companies.

Registering in this platform also provides chances for taking advantage of indirect business opportunities through companies that obtained contracts, in addition to benefiting from training and qualification opportunities in big companies.

During the registration, the category in which the institution wishes to register with the General Secretariat of the Tender Board is to be selected. The activities in which it would like to register with the General Secretariat of the Tender Board are to be selected too, as well as to determine the degree in which the company /enterprise would like to register in the General Secretariat of the Tender Board , provided that it is not higher than the degree registered in the its certificate issued by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
