Dhofar: In partnership with the Agricultural and Fisheries Development Fund, the Directorate General of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources in Dhofar Governorate has begun implementing the second phase of the project to resettle turmeric cultivation in the governorate.
The results of the harvest for the first stage resulted in production of about 6 tonnes of fresh organic turmeric on an area estimated at 1.4 acres.
The results of the harvest for the second stage is expected to reach about 25 tonnes.
