Muscat: The Earthquake Monitoring Committee (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has detected an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale. around 802 km southwest of Salalah.
The EMC added that the earthquake had a depth of 10 km and occurred at 11:17 am local time.
