Muscat: The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that Masirah Island has received the international recognition as the first health city in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
The organization will present the international recognition certificate to the Ministry of Health in an official ceremony scheduled to take place next Sunday on Masirah Island, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali bin Hilal Al-Sabti, the Minister of Health.
The ceremony will be attended by the Governor of South Al Sharqiyah, His Excellency John Jabour, the representative of the World Health Organization in the Sultanate of Oman, as well as members of the Shura Council, Municipal Council, dignitaries, and invitees.
