Muscat: His Majesty the Sultan returned home after concluding a two-day official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His Majesty met with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei at his office in Tehran, in the presence of Dr Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Dr Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a session of talks at the Iranian presidential building in Tehran on Sunday.
The session dealt with various aspects of bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The two leaders also exchanged views on a number of current issues of common concern in the backdrop of developments on the regional and international arenas.
