His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has left for the Islamic Republic of Iran on an official two-day visit, during which he will meet with Dr. Ibrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Meanwhile, In light of His Majesty’s visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, made a statement on the importance of the royal visit.
In his statement to the Middle East newspaper, he said it is known that the Sultanate of Oman and Iran have historical neighborly relations based on firm and robust principles of mutual trust and respect, explaining that the timing of this visit of His Majesty the Sultan to Iran comes in the midst of a new and positive phase of regional relations.
“His Majesty gives great interest in boosting the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the Omani and Iranian peoples, hoping that this visit will bring fruitful results at the regional and international levels”, he added.
