After the relegation of the three teams Al Ittihad, Al Oruba, and Al Bashayer to the First Division, all eyes will be on Ibri Complex and Al Buraimi Complex on Friday as Al Nahda and Al Suwaiq battle for the championship title. The penultimate round of the Omantel League will feature seven matches scheduled to be played at the same time at 7.30 pm.

The highlight of this round is the clash between league leaders Al Nahda and Al Musannah Club at Al Buraimi Complex.

Al Nahda aim to secure their 16th victory in the league this season, a win that would guarantee them the official title regardless of the outcome of the match involving their closest competitor, Al Suwaiq, who will visit Bahla.

Al Nahda currently lead the standings with 52 points and hold a four-point advantage over Al Suwaiq, their only contender for the league title this season. Al Nahda require just one more victory from the last two rounds to secure the championship. A win against Al Musannah in today's match would cement their position at the top and declare them the Omantel League champions.

Meanwhile, Al Suwaiq face Bahla at Ibri Complex. Al Suwaiq will test their aspirations to win the OL title this season when they go head-to-head with Bahla in the penultimate round at the Ibri Sports Complex.

Al Suwaiq hope that Al Musannah will defeat Al Nahda to preserve their hopes of achieving the league title.

In the previous round, Al Suwaiq missed out on a valuable opportunity to close the gap with Al Nahda after losing to Al Musannah with a 2-1 scoreline. As a result, the difference remains at four points with only two rounds remaining.

In another match, Al Nasr will visit Al Seeb at Al Seeb Stadium. Currently positioned third with 45 points, Al Seeb aim to secure their third-place standing and chase down Al Suwaiq Club in their bid to claim the second spot.

In other matches, Sohar will face Oman Club at Sohar Complex, Al Oruba will meet Dhofar at Sur Complex, and Al Bashayer will host Al Rustaq at Nizwa Complex. The match between Al Ittihad and Sur will take place at Al Saada Complex.
