Muscat: The Dhofar Municipality has said that restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and kitchens must have HD surveillance cameras (CCTVs) in the food preparation areas in the first phase of this project.
These places must install at least 32" TV screens in the dining halls so customers can view food and beverage preparation in real-time.
The objectives of the project are observing the food preparation and the performance of the cooking staff, ensuring the safety of visitors to food outlets, and food safety, utilizing modern technologies to streamline and enhance control work processes, developing the food work system, reducing violations, and raising the efficiency of self-health control.
For new licenses for targeted activities in the first phase, compliance with the conditions is required before issuing the municipal license.
The existing activities targeted in the first phase will be given a deadline between May 15 and August 15 to implement the decision.
