To support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during the 2022 tourist season, Dhofar Municipality formed a strategic partnership in which 480 SMEs benefited from the operation of event sites, which provided them with business opportunities.

The total value of business contracts awarded to these SMEs in 2022 was RO3.5 million, signaling the significant impact of the partnership on the local economy.

Additionally, Dhofar Municipality facilitated lease and rental contracts for 84 sites on its lands, with 51 sites being allocated through usufruct contracts and 33 sites through rental contracts.

The partnership has not only created economic opportunities for SMEs but also generated temporary employment opportunities for the local workforce.
