Muscat: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Republic of Sudan has affirmed the safety and health of all Omani citizens present in that country.
The embassy said that due to the unstable security situation in the capital Khartoum and other cities, the embassy continues with interest to follow up the plan to evacuate citizens to the Sultanate of Oman in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Muscat and the Sudanese authorities.
The embassy called on Omani citizens to avoid traveling to Sudan, until the situation returns to calm and stability, and called on citizens in Sudanese territory to stay in their homes for the time being.
The embassy has published numbers to contact it for more details.

Numerous flights departing from Khartoum Airport have been canceled, including flights operated by Flynas, flydubai, Egyptair, and Saudia, among others.
