Muscat: The Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) kicked off the second chapter of the Advanced Sports Management Diploma Programme 2023 for sports institutions, at Oman Olympic Academy (OOA), in cooperation with International Olympic Solidarity, from April 16 to 18.

‘Strategic Management in the Olympic Sports Institution’ is the title of the second programme, which contains the preparation, implementation and evaluation of a good strategic plan, to achieve strategic objectives, and assisting the board of directors in evaluating their impacts.

Hisham bin Salim al Adwani, the accredited director of the Advanced Sports Management Diploma Programme from International Olympic Committee (IOC), led the programme with the participation of more than 20 students.

The programme is held in a workshop system for three days per month in seven chapters, to cover the seventh chapters of the book ‘Management Olympic sports organisations’, by the International Olympic Solidarity. The programme aims to provide the highest level of development for the Olympic administration and to highlight the basic dimensions that serve these bodies, organisations and committees.
