AL BURAIMI: The Office of the Governor of Al Buraimi held a meeting with government officials and businessmen to facilitate the movement of goods and passengers within the governorate, on Sunday.
Sayyid Dr Hamad bin Ahmed al Busaidy, Governor of Al Buraimi, affirmed that the governorate provides a number of facilitations including reducing the prices of hotels and resorts services and improving tourism projects to attract tourists. He underscored the importance of finding a mechanism to facilitate entry and exit of commercial goods thus strengthening the purchasing power.
The meeting discussed the challenges facing the promotion of the tourism products in the governorate and proposed suitable solutions either by the government or private companies.
The attendees confirmed the importance of establishing special routes for tourist buses and others for commercial goods by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and clarifying the customs system to the commercial and tourism companies. — ONA
