Muscat: An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Arabian Sea at 7:24 am, the Earthquake Monitoring Center (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University reported on Thursday.
According to the EMC, the epicentre is located about 319 km away from Masirah Island, with a depth of 26 km.
