Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) launched on Wednesday, April 12, the MSX Plus platform — an educational platform that aims to improve the skills and efficiency of workers in the securities sector, initially targeting companies operating in the sector before expanding to other categories according to a specified timeline.

The launch took place during the exchange's annual iftar event, attended by Mohammed bin Mahfoudh al Ardhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MSX, brokerage officials, stakeholders, and the media.

According to Wafa bint Taj Mohammed al Zadjali (pictured), Senior Director of the Membership and Inspection Department, the MSX Plus platform is an electronic educational and training platform that provides scientific materials related to the main requirements of various functional tasks in the securities sector. It also enables the holding of remote training workshops connecting compliance officers of brokerage firms, and the membership and inspection team of the exchange.

Al-Zadjali pointed out that the platform launch is part of the exchange's strategy, which prioritizes enhancing the performance of companies operating in the securities sector by providing modern technologies in training programs and professional exams for those working in those companies, contributing to improving their efficiency, which will undoubtedly be reflected in the performance of companies in particular and the exchange in general.

She added that the platform provide training programs for employees in the sector, enhancing compliance, issuing licenses and certificates, and building a database of all workers in the sector. Planned to be rolled out in multiple phase, the second phase will feature a mind map, interactive (smart) books, and direct conferences with Gulf and international brokerage firms and research houses.
