Oman Data Park, Uqudo ink pact to roll out digital identity solutions

Oman Data Park (ODP), the leading provider of cloud and data centre services in the Sultanate of Oman, has announced a strategic partnership with Uqudo, a well-known digital identity tech firm, to contribute to accelerate the digital transformation in Oman.


This partnership was celebrated in a ceremony held in Muscat on Tuesday. Based on this partnership, Uqudo and ODP will work together to integrate digital identity solutions into ODP’s existing infrastructure, enabling individuals and organisations to securely authenticate and verify their identities online.


This strategic partnership will lead to leveraging Uqudo’s platform that provides end-to-end digital identity technologies for customer enrolment, digital identity verification and biometric detection, NFC-based passport reading and verification, document cognitive analysis and scanning as well as utilising the (eKYC) technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI).


Commenting on this partnership, Eng Maqbool al Wahaibi, CEO of Oman Data Park said, “While we at Oman Data Park are committed to provide our customers with the latest and most advanced technologies, our partnership with Uqudo, will contribute to enhance our customer services through providing digital identity solutions that are resistant to digital fraud.”


Al Wahaibi added: “In accordance with this strategic cooperation, both parties have committed to building combined offerings to facilitate and accelerate the digital journey in Oman. This will enhance user experience and security and improve access to online services across the country, supporting Oman’s efforts in the process of digital transformation.”


Mohamed Fagiri, CEO of Uqudo, said: “This partnership will be a vital step toward Oman’s digitalisation after our recent participation with ODP and Omantel in conducting the first fully digital national elections in the region.


Uqudo will provide extensive digital on boarding services for all companies supported by ODP.


With Oman accelerating towards an inclusive digital society with rapid digital growth, comprehensive digital on boarding is necessary for companies to scale.”


This cooperation will also contribute to enhance the businesses on the ODP platform, which will gain access to exhaustive identity solutions that can support their overall growth while being compliant with regulatory requirements.
