People urged not to travel to Tanzania, Guinea due to Marburg virus disease outbreak: MOH

Muscat: In its first statement regarding Marburg virus disease outbreaks in Tanzania and Equatorial Guinea, the Ministry of Health (MOH) confirms that it is monitoring the disease in these two countries as highly contagious and with a death rate of 60 to 80%.


MOH advises travellers not to visit these two countries unless absolutely necessary.
