The Oman Basketball Association (OBA) has partnered with Muscat Sports Services Company's Strike Sports Centre to organise open basketball competitions and tournaments, supported and sponsored by Muscat Municipality and Muscat Nights.

The partnership agreement was signed by Dr Ali bin Salam al Yarubi on behalf of the OBA and Mahmoud bin Ahmed al Kharousi, CEO of the company, at the association headquarters at the Oman Olympic Committee building.

This agreement reflects the OBA’s efforts to promote the game and encourage its spread among the youth in the community. The association plans to organise basketball tournaments and competitions that are open to both men and women during the holy month of Ramadan, which will be launched in the coming days. All competitions will be held on the court of the Strike Sports Centre, the largest private sports club in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Strike Sports Centre organises a range of sports events and competitions in basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, tennis and padel for all ages through its seven indoor and outdoor courts for various individual and team sports.

The partnership between the OBA and the Strike Sports Centre aims to enhance the presence of basketball among young people in the community and encourage their participation in sports. With the support and sponsorship of Muscat Municipality and Muscat Nights, this collaboration is expected to contribute to the growth of basketball in Oman.
